Welcome to Department of Rural Development

The nation has more than 60% population living in rural areas, which is why the government departments have given immense importance to engage skilled persons having Rural Development as a specialization in various posts to assist the villagers in the procedure of growth, improvement & expansion thus, making Rural Development a most sought subject for study as well as research. The department of Rural Development at Digboi College was born in 2014 with the motive of providing both theoretical and practical knowledge of this subject from its root level, making the students eligible in finding lucrative job opportunities in government and private sectors or in various NGOs and organizations etc. The department offers non-major/ generic elective undergraduate programme under Dibrugarh University.
