It is one of the prime departments of the prestigious college right from the establishment of the institution in 1965. It offers both Honours and Generic course under the present updated CBCS framework. It is a student-centric department that focuses not only the academic development but also the all round development of the students regarding practical, career-oriented, and job-oriented aspects and diverse socio-economic fields.
