Department of COMPUTER SCIENCE

Welcome to Department of Computer Science

The department of Computer Science in Digboi College was established in the academic year 1991-1992 under UGC vocational scheme. It is the premier department in the Tinsukia district to teach computer subjects in the undergraduate level.

The department teaches Computer Science, Computer Application and Information Technology subjects at the undergraduate level and Computer Science and Application in Higher secondary level.

The department taught UGC sponsored course Data Care Management in the year 2006. The Department also taking classes of Computer Hardware and Networking under Community College Scheme from 2016.

The department offers PGDCA course under Dibrugarh University from the academic year 2014-2015.

At present, the department has two teachers, and a total of 295 students have Computer Science as their Generic subject from different streams.
