SUMMARY:Celebration of Blood Donor’s Day\, 2023
DESCRIPTION:“Give blood\, give plasma\, share life\, share often.”\n14th Jun 2023:  \nOn 14th June 2023 the NSS Unit of Digboi College\, celebrated Blood Donor’s Day by donating 103 units of blood at Digboi College. It was jointly organised with Battalion of Indian Army\, Digboi and Blood Bank of Assam Medical College & Hospital\, Dibrugarh in association with CISF IOCL Digboi\, Student Union\, Red Ribbon Club\, NSS Alumni Association and IQAC of Digboi College. The programme was anchored by Debopriya Debnath\, NSS volunteer. Mr. Rajib Rudra Tariang\, Programme Officer of NSS Digboi College Unit delivered the purpose of the meeting. Dr. Dip Saikia\, Principal Digboi College inaugurated the blood donation camp by imparting his valuable speech on the theme\, “Give blood\, give plasma\, share life\, share often.”. Dr. Arun Chandra Dutta\, Vice-Principal\, Digboi College\, delivered his speech on the occasion and appreciated NSS Digboi College Unit.  \n   \nCommanding Officer of the Digboi Battalion of Indian Army\, Colonel KSH John Singh\, Captain Tomthin\, Sri P.R. Dewakar\, Asst. Commandant\, Sri Surjit Singh\, SI/Exe\, Sri Narayan Dutta\, ASI/Exe of CISF IOCL\, Digboi were also present. Dr. Kabari Neog\, Medical Officer\, Pathologist\, have concluded her speech on importance of blood donation and also explained elaborated the benefits towards donating blood. Fresh blood is produced immediately by our bone marrow and it makes a blood donor’s a fresh and active life after a while and as per norms\, one can donate blood again after 3 months. The Blood donors were faculties\, students\, staffs\, army and CISF personals. SUMMARY:Observation of World Environment Day at Digboi College
DESCRIPTION:5th Jun 2023:  \nOn the occasion of World Environment Day\, 2023\, NSS Digboi College\, Department of Zoology and Department of Botany\, in collaboration with IQAC Digboi College today has organized plantation drive\, seminar talk and painting competition. \n Dr. Dip Saikia\, Principal Digboi College inaugurated the programme by Tree Plantaion with Dr. Tilak Chandra Datta\, Head\, Dept. of Botany at the Botanical Garden. Various species of medicinal important plants were planted in the garden. NSS Digboi College Unit planted Nahar Plant Mesua ferra in front of the college library building. In another plantation programme\, Department of Zoology planted 40 Nos. of sericigenous plants such as Kesseru (Heteropanas fragans)\, Nuni (Morus alba) and Som (Machilus bombycine)\, at Sericulture Garden of Department of Zoology. Dr. Kishor Haloi\, Dr. Moni Kankana Kalita and Mr. Rajib Rudra Tariang were present in the Sericulture Tree Plantation along with Mr. Deep Bora\, Lab. Asst. \n\n   \nIn the next session\, Mr. Rajib Rudra Tariang\, Head\, Dept. of Zoology and Programme Officer of NSS Digboi College\, gave a lecture on the theme ‘Beat Plastic Pollution”. Mr. Tariang emphasized on the ban of single use plastic and the plastics which cannot be avoided like the wrappers of biscuits\, chips\, sweets\, etc. can be put inside a plastic bottle\, convert it into an eco-bricks. Mr. Tariang also emphasized on avoiding single plastics while buying meat or fish\, it can avoided by using a tiffin box or hot-case which is more hygienic. In his talk\, Mr. Tariang also emphasized on how the microplastic pollution have created cardiovascular diseases in human\, which is again a great threat to our health concerned. The microplastics are the products which are produced from every plastic product and contact human through water\, air and food. Sources from sea food\, drinking water\, fish etc. also prevailed high as per the study. \n  \n Later in the evening\, NSS Digboi College have conducted an awareness drive and carried out painting competition at Saraipung Forest Village at Saraipung L.P. School. Mr. Jogiram Kutum\, Headmaster of the school\, Ms. Songiboni Bhumij\, Gaon Pradhan along with others were also present. The villagers and the school children were made aware on the ill effects of the single use plastics. Tree plantation was also organized at Saraipung. Department of Life Sciences\, Digboi College and Department of Zoology\, The Assam Royal Global University\, Guwahati\, Assam at Digboi College and Dehing Patkai National Park from 20th – 22nd May\, 2023 in association with MoU signed by the esteemed institutions.  \nDay 1: On 20th May\, 2023 the students are introduced to local ecotourism initiatives in Dehing Patkai National park. The resource persons of the programme were Mr. Rajib Rudra Tariang\, Asst. Prof.\, P.G. Department of Life Sciences\, Digboi College and Dr. Mitrajit Deb\, Asst. Prof.\, The Assam Royal Global University\, Guwahati. \n  \nDay 2: On 21st May\, 2023\, wild trailing and Nature walk is conducted at Dehing Patkai National Park with hands on practical. The resource persons of the programme were Mr. Rajib Rudra Tariang\, Asst. Prof.\, P.G.Department of Life Sciences\, Digboi College and Dr. Mitrajit Deb\, Asst. Prof.\, Dept. of Zoology\, Royal Global University\, Guwahati and Miss. Sangita Biswas\, Asst. Prof.\, Dept. of Zoology\, The Assam Royal Global University\, Guwahati. \n  \nDay 3: On 22nd May\, 2023\, the technical sessions are organized at Digboi College. The programme has started with introductory session with Dr. Dip Saikia\, Principal\, Digboi College and Dr. Pabitra Bharali\, IQAC Coordinator\, Digboi College as chair persons. The programme is followed by parallel technical sessions with resource persons\, Dr. Tilal Ch. Dutta\, Associate Prof.\, P.G. Dept. of Life Sciences Digboi College and Dr. Mitrajit Deb\, Asst. Prof.\, The Assam Royal Global University\, Guwahati who delivered talk on “Mushroom farming and its importance as food” and “Urban Ecology” respectively. Technical session II includes talks on “Animal Behaviour”\, “Microbial role in Biogeochemical Cycling”\, “Introduction to Amino acids and Proteins” and “Metamorphosis of Insects” by resource persons Miss. A total of 136 students participated in the workshop. \nMajor General Gagandeep\, Addl DG NCC NE Region graced the occasion as the chief guest in the event. He enlightened the cadets on the need of developing self motivation to act as a leader. \nEarlier Dr. Dip Saikia\, Principal of Digboi College delivered a welcome speech to welcome the dignitaries to the College as well as the cadets to the workshop specially organized for them. SUMMARY:Poster & Oral Presentation Competition: Celebration of  National Science Day
DESCRIPTION:28th February 2023: The Department of Physics in Association with the Digboi College Students Science Club celebrated the National Science Day 2023 with the Central theme “Global science for Global well being”. The program started with floral tributes to C.V.Raman. The Principal\, Dr. Dip Saikia addressed the students on the significance of the day and the central theme. This was followed by an oral presentation competition and a poster presentation competition both of which were organised parallelly. A total of 20 papers were presented by the students.\nThe program concluded with prize distribution where the Vice Principal Dr. A.C. DESCRIPTION:21 February 2023: On 21/02/2023\, Department of Assamese in collaboration with IQAC\, Digboi College has organised International Mother Language Day in college auditorium at 11.00 am. The chief guest of the occasion was eminent writer and speaker\, Mayur Bora. The programme started with a chorus performed by the students of Digboi College. The honoree was introduced by Dr. Mrinal Kumar Gogoi and felicitated by the Principal of Digboi College\, Dr. Dip Saikia. The inaugural speech was given by Principal\, stating the importance of the Mother Language Day and enlightening its history. Following the session\, the Assamese department’s magazine Manjuri (মঞ্জুৰী) along with department’s publication Sinta bisitra (চিন্তা- বিচিত্রা) (Editor: Achyut Saikia) were inaugurated by the guest of honour. Going with the programme\, the invited guest literary veteran “Mayur Bora”\, delivered his speech. He made aquainted the spectators with the history of Assam and it’s native language. Further\, he signifies the Mother Language Day and it’s observance to promote linguistic as well as cultural diversity. \n  \nA total of 42 faculty and staff members were present on this celebration along with a good strength of students. DESCRIPTION:  \nDepartment of Zoology conducts Great Backyard Bird Count \n17th February 2023:  Department of Zoology\, Digboi College conducted bird counts at their campus in collaboration with eBird India and Bird Count India in the morning hours of 17/02/2023. Mr. Rajib Rudra Tariang\, Head\, Dept. of Zoology\, takes the initiative to conduct the 4 days campus bird count in the morning along with the students of Digboi College from 17th to 20th February 2023. On the day\, about 40 species of birds were sighted\, with 92 individuals in the entire survey. Dr. Pragnesh Patel of Dadra and Naga Haveli\, a famous birder of India who is also a professional medical doctor\, was the key resource person for the students who delivered a fruitful lecture. Mr. Rajib Rudra Tariang guided the students during the bird count and the team of experts. Mr. Saswat Mishra\, another birder of Bird Count India residing at Dadar and Naga Haveli\, who is an Electrical Engineer and an M. Tech. Student have also guided the students in the field. Further\, Mr. Pallav Pranjol Sarma of Guwahati\, Mr. Debojit Phukan of Tinsukia\, and Mr. Aovick Das Gutpa of Kaziranga were also present. SUMMARY:Educating Youth on Gender Identity
DESCRIPTION:  \n16th Februay 2023: \nA Talk on ‘Educating Youth on Gender Identity’ was organised by the Dept. of English\, in association with Internal Complaint Committee and IQAC\, Digboi College on 16-02-2023 at the College auditorium. The talk\, delivered by Rituparna Neog\, Founder-Director\, Akam Foundation: towards equality\, an intersectional queer feminist\, a social activist\, queer rights activist\, story-teller and a poet\, was attended by an overwhelming number of students from the college and a large number of teaching faculty. Rituparna deliberated upon how gender and sex is assigned at birth\, the societal expectations placed on individuals\, the complex ways that gender is institutionalized in society and how gender cannot be confined to a binary and\, also\, how the deviation from the established norms and societal expectations poses challenges to the individuals concerned. She talked about the various initiatives she was actively involved in and called upon the college community to facilitate a gender neutral washroom @nomoreholdingmypee\, so that students with different gender identities do not come across untoward incidents. Queries and questions from the audience during the interaction session\, were ably addressed by Rituparna. The event was hosted by Baby Ritu Phukan\, from the Dept. of English\, who introduced the speaker to the audience. Deepa Sarma Borthakur\, Chairperson of the Internal Complaint Committee\, spoke about how a discourse on issues of gender identity was the need of the hour. DESCRIPTION:ONE-DAY SYMPOSIA ON PRODUCTIVITY\, GREEN GROWTH AND SUSTAINABILITY: CELEBRATING INDIA’S G20 PRESIDENCY \n13th February 2023:  On the occasion of National Productivity Week ( February 12 to 18)\, the Department of Commerce\, Digboi College has taken an initiative to observe this week on 13th of February\,2023 to enhance the level of productiveness among the students. This initiative has been undertaken by the Training and Placement Cell\, Department of Commerce\, in association with IQAC\, Digboi College\, and the Assam Productivity Council. \nThis\, one day symposia was held in the conference hall of the college\, with a gathering of about 90 students. The special guest invited were Prof. Dr. Amalesh Bhowal\, Professor\, DoC\, Assam University (Diphu) Campus as the resource person; B.P Bakshi\, Chairman\, Assam Productivity Council; and Dr. Jacob Konwar\, Asst. Prof.\, Dept. Of Commerce\, D.H.S.K Commerce College. The occasion was initiated with a felicitation ceremony to all the respective dignitaries on the Dias with a Fulam Gamusa and with a Borgeet performed by the students of the commerce department. The Head of the Institution \,Digboi College\, Dr Dip Saikia addressed the gathering with his welcoming speech\, followed by the Head\, Department of Commerce\, Dr Deborshee Gogoi . The Chairman\, Assam Productivity Council\, B.P Bakshi began his talk with the significance of productivity by permeating the importance of innovation to it. Then the resource person\, Professor Dr. Amalesh Bhowal took up the event by enlightening the gathering with the knowledge on the productivity; the concept on green growth and sustainability. The last spokesperson for the event was Dr. Jacob Konwar who tried to conclude the occasion by prioritising the composition of the preceding speakers. \n    \nTowards the end\, \, Dr. Samrat Bharadwaj \, Assistant Professor\, Department of Commerce\, Digboi College\, gave the vote of thanks to the respective dignitaries for inspiring the conference hall and the event was winded up with a group snapshot. The gathering for this event was about 120 students belonging from the various disciplines like commerce\, science and vocational studies. The resource person for this event was Mr. Zulfi Ali Bhutto\, who was considered 5th in Indian Ironman ranking and had acquired a 20 plus years of diversified experience in business strategy development. The other respected dignitaries for the event was Sumit Kumar Singh ( Head\, Corporate Area\, PIBM);Mr. Veeru Singh Sokhi ( Director\, Global Edu Solutions); and Mr. Vijay Raj Agarwal ( Chartered Accountant). DESCRIPTION:  \n29th December 2022:  \nDibrugarh University Inter-College Yoga Competition was organized by Digboi College on 29th December\, 2022. The programme started with the hoisting of the flags of the University and Digboi College in the presence of delegates from Dibrugarh University. The inaugural session was presided over by Dr. Dip Saikia\, Principal\, Digboi College\, who delivered his welcome address as well. A souvenir “Yoga Siddhi”\, edited by Dr. Lakshmi Devi was released by Mr. H. N. Sarma\, President of the Governing Body of the college. 25 participants from 11 colleges participated in the event who were judged by Yogaguru Sukhamay Nath (Digboi)\, Dr.Binay Bhattacharjee (Karimganj)\, Rinku Das (Tinsukia)\, Swapna Debnath and Subhangi Nath from Digboi. The program was anchored by Dr. Lakshmi Devi and the objective of the event was presented by Ms. Baby Ritu Phukan\, Coordinator of Digboi College Yoga-Meditation Center.  \n \nIn the boy’s category\, the first\, second and third positions were secured by Joylakhi Payeng (Panigaon OPD College)\, Madhujya Saikia (Digboi College) and Dipankar Boruah (Sibsagar College) and in girl’s category\, Ch. Miss Nikita Sharma\, General Secretary\, Digboi College Students Union\, too delivered a speech on Lachit Borphukan. \nPoems on Lachit Borphukan were recited by Dr. Sangita Baruah Saikia\, Associate professor\, Department of Geography\, Miss Bhaswati Talukdar\, Assistant Professor\, Department of Philosophy\, Mr. Prakash Saikia\, Head Assistant\, and Rinki Likson\, Student of Digboi College. \nA duet song was performed by Mr. Jitu Borah\, Assistant professor\, Department of Political Science and Mr. Suraj Hajong\, Assistant professor\, Department of Economics. DESCRIPTION:  \n4th  November 2022: \nOn November 4\, 2022\, the Centre for Performing Arts\, Digboi College\, and Kuhok Theatrical Society organized a program titled “Prakton Xikyarthire Ontorongo Alaap” and invited renowned ad film and film producer Sri Bijoy Dowerah to the college campus to deliver a special talk on his life journey thus far. The ‘Prakton Xikyarthire Ontorongo Alaap’ is a unique forum where distinguished alumni of Digboi College are invited to address the student body and encourage them to strive harder in life. \nHis 90-minute presentation\, titled ‘Journey without Destination\,’ eloquently detailed his journey from Digboi to Mumbai and how he established his company\, ‘Complete Films\,’ in Bollywood. The visitor detailed his interactions with Bollywood stars such as Amitabh Bachchan\, A.R. Rahman\, Shahrukh Khan\, and others. Dowerah\, also an accomplished lyricist\, shared some of his life-altering experiences with prominent vocalists such as Zubeen Garg\, Jitul Sonowal\, Udit Narayan\, Kumar Sanu\, Kavita Krishnamurti\, and others. \n  \nOver one hundred students\, faculty members\, and media professionals attended the program\, which was led by Dr. Samrat Samrat Bharadwaj (Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce and Convenor of the Centre for Performing Arts). The program started with the introduction and felicitation of the resource person Mrs. Nandita G. Sarma\, Psychological Counsellor\, Delhi Public School\, Digboi\, by Dr. Rashmi Patowary. \n \nThe resource person gave a lucid presentation of precisely one hour\, highlighting the key aspects of mental health and how to maintain positive mental health. Thanks to the experienced resource person\, who made her presentation lively by giving relatable real-life examples. The session turned out to be highly beneficial with the students’ unhesitant interaction with the resource person. DESCRIPTION:  \n31st  OCTOBER 2022: NSS Unit\, Digboi college has observed the “Rastriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day)” in association with Margherita Sub-Division (Civil)\, IOCL(AOD)\, Indian Army\, Digboi on 31st October 2022. National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is celebrated on 31st October every year since 2014 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This year marks the 147th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel\, a freedom fighter and later a politician who played a major role in the integration of India. The National Unity Day is observed in order to provide an opportunity to re-affirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity\, integrity\, and security of our country. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was India’s first deputy Prime Minister and is popularly known as the ‘Iron Man of India’. He played a major role in persuading over 500 princely states to accede to the independent Indian Union. A total of 140 NSS Volunteers were present at the occasion. The NSS programme Officers of the institution viz. R. R. Tariang\, Dr. K. Haloi\, and Dr. N. Chamuah were also present. The program started with the inauguration speech by Mr. Palash Rajkumar Ahom\, SDO (Civil)\, Margherita Block\, followed by an oath-taking ceremony led by Indian Army Commandant\, Digboi. The translation of the oath is as follows: \nI solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself to preserving the unity\, integrity\, and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen. I take this pledge in the spirit of the unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and actions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. DESCRIPTION:  \n \n28th  OCTOBER 2022: Digboi college paid tribute to Nipon Goswami on 28/10/2022. He passed away on 27/10/2022 morning at Nemcare Hospital in Guwahati. The college authority organised a condolence meeting at the college premises to mark the incident. Dr. Dip Saikia\, Principal of Digboi College\, delivered a speech on the life work and achievements of the veteran actor. \n  \nLife and Career \nA veteran film and theatre actor\, Nipon Goswami is known for his work in the Assamese film industry. After starting his career with stage\, after which he made his silver screen debut with the film Sangram\, in 1968. \nSome of his known work can be seen in films like Dr. Bezbaruah (1970)\, Shakuntala Aru Sankar Joseph Ali (1984)\, Hiya Diya Niya (2000)\, Antaheen Jatra (2004)\, Borolar Ghor (2012) And Gaane Ki Aane (2016). Apart from his work In Assamese film industry\, he has been a part of Hindi films like Debut With Do Bhai (1968)\, Jaggu (1975)\, Kaal Sandhya (1991)\, Daman (2001) and Purab Ki Awaz (2017). \nHis 2017 release includes the film Sesh Angika. Directed by Pronoy Phukan\, the movie along with Nipon Goswami stars Jayanta Bhagabati and Nayan Nilim in important roles. His 2019 release includes Seema – The Untold Story. \nHe was born on 3rd September 1942 at Kolibari in Tezpur\, Assam. His father Chandradhar Goswami was a famous actor and his mother Nirupama Goswami was a singer. He did his primary schooling from Kolibari LP School. After that he moved to Tezpur Govt. HS School. \nAfter completed his B.A. he went Calcutta for the interview in Pune Film Institute. In 1965\, he went to Pune for his acting training. Subhash Ghai\, Navin Nischol\, Shatrughan Sinha etc. were his classmates. \nHe debuted in the Assamese film industry as a child artist in the movie Piyali Phukan\, directed by Phani Sarma in 1957. As a lead actor\, Sangram was his first Assamese film and a hit movie. His next movie Dr. Bezbaruah released in 1969 brought him recognition as a star to act in many movies in coming years. He also acted in few Hindi movies as a character actor. \nHe has been actively involved in mobile theatres\, notably\, Abaahan\, Kohinoor\, Hengul\, and Shakuntala. DESCRIPTION:12TH SEPTEMBER 2022: The purpose of the Freshers Celebration is to welcome new students in a friendly atmosphere and to encourage their creative impulses to boost their confidence. It is the day when seniors and juniors finally bond and unite to celebrate being part of the college. Students of BSc 1st semester and MSc 1st semester were welcome by Bsc 3rd and 5th semester as well as MSc 3rd semester students. The students decorated the room very beautifully in order to make a memorable day for the freshers. \n  \nThe program started with Vice Principal Sir’s speech\, followed by our Department’s HOD and all the teaching staff. The program started at 1:30 pm and was hosted by a student of the BSc 5th semester. After the speech\, we had our first dance performed by a student from the 3rd semester\, followed by many other programs. Then we moved on to the gift distributing ceremony\, which was done by our respected teachers.  \n \nWe had a lunch break in between and then continued with the enjoyment. Most of the students took part and everybody enjoyed the program.  We concluded the program by once again welcoming all the freshers to our small family. DESCRIPTION:5th Sept\, 2022:Every year 5th September is celebrated as Teachers’ day in India\, which also commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan\, an academic\, professor\, philosopher\, and former vice president and president of India. The purpose behind observing this day is to honor the teachers who eliminate darkness from the minds of the disciples or students and empower them with knowledge. Teachers’ day is observed in schools and colleges with great excitement\, and many events are organized in honor of the teachers. Knowledge is the light to remove the darkness of ignorance from one’s life. This knowledge is passed on from teachers to its students. Teachers enlighten us in many ways and provide guidance in choosing the right path in our life. Dr. S Radhakrishnan believed that teachers should be respected and honored for their valuable efforts as they play a significant role in our society. He said that if we really wanted to celebrate his birthday\, celebrate it as the day as to honor the teachers. After this incident\, every year\, his birthday\, which falls on the 5th of September\, began to be celebrated as Teachers’ day. \n  \n“Teachers are Torch Bearers of the Gen-next” \nTeacher’s day was celebrated by the students of the PHYSICS department (both BSc. And MSc.) in the department of PHYSICS on 5th September to express their gratitude for the immense contribution put forth by their teachers towards their development. Students decorated the department with decorative items on the eve of Teacher’s day\, and the faculties were welcomed warmly. We first initiated the program with the Lamp Lighting ceremony in honor of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan by our respected HOD and all the faculties. Each of the faculties was given a gift as a token of gratitude and an acknowledgment of the hard work put by the teachers towards their development\, wishing them a Happy Teachers Day.  This was followed by the cake-cutting ceremony to make the day more memorable and successful. We had two beautiful cakes\, one of which was especially gifted to the faculties by our MSc. Student\, Miss Saswata Purkayastha. Teachers really enjoyed the cake and gave her an applause as appreciation. It was a fun filled afternoon for the teachers as well as the students. All the juniors cooperated well with the seniors making the event as a fruitful success. The event concluded by again thanksgiving the teachers for their efforts and gratitude. The event went very well as planned\, and a few games were played with our teachers at the end. SUMMARY:3 Day Mime Workshop
DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n \nOn September 2\, September 3\, and September 5\, 2022\, the Centre for Performing Arts\, Digboi College and the Kuhok Theatrical Society\, in association with IQAC\, Digboi College\, hosted a mime workshop on the college premises. Mr. Birinchi Borah\, a prominent figure in the Assamese entertainment industry as well as a member of the Indian Mime Association\, was in charge of directing the nine-hour-long session. The workshop was inaugurated in the auditorium of Digboi College on September 2\, 2022\, under the worthy supervision of Dr. Samrat Bharadwaj\, who besides being from the Department of Commerce\, also happens to be the Convenor and Head for the Centre of Performing Arts. The introductory lecture was given by the Principal\, Dr. Dip Saikia\, and was followed by senior faculty members Dr. Mrinal Kumar Gogoi from the Department of Assamese and Dr. Sangeeta Saikia from the Department of Geography. After a brief overview of the history of mime was presented by the resource person\, a student by the name of Kavita Upadhyay from the Department of Commerce then delivered an impressive speech describing the objectives of the workshop. During the opening ceremony\, there was also participation from other members of the college’s faculty\, including Dr. Rashmi Patowary and Mr. Sanat Kumar Gogoi\, both of whom are affiliated with the Department of Physics. SUMMARY:Fundamental of Marketing Concepts : Popular Talk
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Digboi College Department of Commerce and the Digboi College Internal Quality Assurance Cell collaborated to host a popular talk on “Fundamental of Marketing Concepts” on August 18\, 2022 in the Digboi College auditorium. The resource person for the talk was Professor (Dr.) Amalesh Bhowal\, who had previously served as the Pro Vice Chancellor of Assam University. An outstanding audience of over 150 students listened as the distinguished visitor articulately explained the essential principles and realities of marketing\, addressing both the theoretical and practical aspects of the subject matter. When they inaugurated the program\, Dr. Dip Saikia\, Principal of Digboi College\, and Dr. Deborshee Gogoi\, Head of the Department of Commerce at Digboi College\, laid the groundwork for the discussion and introduced the group of students to the fundamental concept of marketing as a field of study. Dr. Samrat Bharadwaj deftly took charge of the proceedings and acted as host throughout the entire event.
