SUMMARY:Workshop on Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) Compliances
DESCRIPTION:15th February 2024:  On February 15th\, 2024\, an insightful workshop on Tax Deducted at Source Compliances\, aimed at enhancing awareness among employees from colleges under Margherita Sub-Division\, was conducted at Seminar Hall of Digboi College\, Digboi. Hosted by the Income Tax Officer (TDS)\, Tinsukia\, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Digboi College\, the event commenced with a warm welcome address from Dr. Dip Saikia\, Principal of Digboi College. The objective of the gathering was eloquently outlined by Amitabh Shekhar Gupta\, Inspector\, TDS\, Tinsukia. Notable figures present in the workshop included Supratim Purkayastha\, Income Tax Officer\, TDS\, Tinsukia; Biswajit Mazumdar\, Income Tax Officer\, Digboi; Ratan Dey\, Income Tax Officer\, Sivsagar; and Amitabh Shekhar Gupta\, Inspector\, TDS\, TSK\, accompanied by two assistant officers from the Office of the Income Tax Officer\, Tinsukia. A presentation\, conducted by Supratim Purkayastha\, meticulously elucidated various aspects of income tax\, encompassing provisions\, advantages\, disadvantages\, and the disparities between the Old Regime and the New Regime of Income Tax payers via a comprehensive Power Point presentation. Among the attendees were Dr. Atonu Kakati\, Principal of Margherita College\, accompanied by one office staff member along with two teachers from Ledo College and five faculty members and eight office staff of Digboi College. As a gesture of thanks\, the Income Tax Office provided attendees with a valuable kit comprising informative booklets\, enriching the session further.
